ORLANDO, Fla. – A KFC employee is facing an aggravated battery charge after police said she threw scalding hot water on a co-worker's back as the two were arguing about a man, according to an arrest affidavit.
KFC employee Jasmine Bridges, 19, stayed at the restaurant on John Young Parkway three hours past clocking out on Sunday because she was arguing with a female coworker -- despite her manager repeatedly telling her to go home, the Orlando Police Department said.

Bridges' taxi arrived at 10:45 p.m., but before she left she confronted the woman for a final time. The woman turned her back as Bridges stepped toward her and then police said Bridges grabbed a cup of water the had been prepped for cleaning the kitchen and threw it on the woman's back. Bridges then got in the taxi and went home.
Witnesses told police that the woman's skin was badly burned and peeling five minutes after the incident. The water was about 212 degrees Fahrenheit, the affidavit said.
Police responded to the KFC on Monday just before 10 a.m. and spoke with Bridges, who said she threw the water because the victim threatened her infant daughter. Bridges said she didn't think the water even hit the victim's back, police said.
The victim denied threatening Bridges' daughter and no witnesses at the scene could confirm that threats were made.
Bridges has been charged with aggravated battery.
