15-year-old dies of stab wound, deputies say
Incident occurred in Leesburg overnight
LEESBURG, Fla. – The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 15-year-old stabbing victim in Leesburg.
The incident happened in the area of North Lake Avenue and Brook Circle around 2 a.m. Saturday.
The victim was identified by the Sheriff's Office as Jayquan Newbold.
A memorial at the site is already growing in his honor.
Authorities said detectives are currently interviewing witnesses.
