News 6 Insiders share their favorite burger joints

CENTRAL FLORIDA, USA. – You asked and we are delivering! Many of you have answered our Insider survey saying you enjoy hearing about local restaurants and top-rated eateries. We asked our News 6 Insiders to share the juiciest, mouth-watering burger joints in Central Florida and there were a few that received multiple nods:

Several Insiders mentioned the ‘cooked-on-the-grill’ taste of Back Yard Burgers. The chain is located in several counties throughout Central Florida.

The Burger Place in Melbourne was also mentioned for it’s homemade buns and variety of fresh toppings.

Johnny’s Fillin’ Station in Orlando received high praises for it’s large burgers. Breakers in New Smyrna Beach was a favorite amongst some of our Insiders, all mentioning how juicy the burgers are.

Alex’s Fresh Kitchen is known for its award-winning Mamba Burger, created in the memory of late basketball player Kobe Bryant, with a 24-spice eight-ounce patty, four fried pickles and four fried jalapeños, cheese sauce and the fixings. Owner and Chef Alex Diaz shared the inspiration behind the burger and his restaurant on News 6′s Florida Foodie podcast.

For the vegetarians out there, one Insider shared that Evolve Modern Kitchen in Daytona Beach has an alternative meat ‘Crack Burger’ that’s “out of this world!”

Silver Springs Diner - “Nothing frozen. All fresh ingredients. So tasty and delicious! Juicy flavor. Best burger around, period,” said Cathy Henderson from Silver Springs.

Orange County

19th Hole at Ventura Country Club - “Excellent burgers! They use a blend of meat. Delicious,” said Tracy Barnes from Orlando.

Five Guys - “Juiciest burgers and fresh fixings,” said Timothy Frank from Orlando.
