Former corrections officer, current Walt Disney World employee faces child porn charges

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A former corrections officer and current Walt Disney World employee is accused of possessing child pornography, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

Michael Foster, 47, was arrested Wednesday after detectives carried out a search warrant at his Brooksville home. This followed the sheriff’s office’s acquisition of a book bag belonging to Foster, which contained 32 images of child pornography in digital storage, according to a statement.

Detectives made contact with Foster after executing the search warrant, the statement reads. He reportedly admitted to ownership of the book bag and storage devices, as well as to downloading and viewing the images, the sheriff’s office said.

Foster was identified by the sheriff’s office as a former corrections officer in Citrus County and a current overnight mechanic at Walt Disney World.

Foster faces 32 counts of possession of child pornography and was given a bond of $320,000 at his first appearance in court Thursday.

Additional charges are pending further analysis of all devices seized from Foster’s residence, the sheriff’s office said.
