Florida missing child alert canceled after 2-year-old girl found safe

MIAMI, Fla. – UPDATE: A Florida missing child alert was canceled for a 2-year-old girl missing out of Miami after she was found safe.

PREVIOUS: A Florida missing child alert was issued Wednesday for a 2-year-old girl out of Miami who may be in the company of a 22-year-old man.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said Ava Gantt was last seen in the 8000 block of SW 157th Place.

She may be with Dante Torres, who was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. He has a full sleeve of tattoos on his right arm.

The two may be traveling in a 2017 silver Nissan Sentra with the tag NRJC05.

The girl is described as being 3 feet tall and weighing 31 pounds.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
