Fire rips through Marion County structures after 2 loud explosions heard

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Four sheds and a storage building caught fire Monday morning in Ocala after two loud explosions were reported, according to the Marion County Fire Rescue.

Units arrived around 5:15 a.m. to a field in the 7700 block of SW 22nd Ave.

Fire rescue said the 5,000-square-foot storage building and four smaller sheds were burned by the blaze.

The fire was under control before 6 a.m., officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
