A pilot was critically injured after crashing a glider into a Winter Haven street. (Winter Haven Police Department)WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A pilot is in critical condition after their glider crashed along a Winter Haven street on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the crash happened on Avenue K SE around 1:50 p.m., adjacent to Winter Haven High School.
According to Winter Haven police, the pilot was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. No injuries were were reported on the ground.
