SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A horse stuck in a thick guy-wire overnight is free thanks to the ingenuity of the Seminole County Fire Department.
According to a social media post, crews responded to West Osceola Road in Geneva around 7:06 a.m. on Tuesday after learning that “Toby” the horse had his leg stuck in the wire, which helps support utility poles.

Officials said the horse had been there “overnight” before they were able to assist.
According to the post, crews used hydraulic spreaders for his legs before digging a hole to the horse was able to stand on his own.

A veterinarian reports that Toby is “doing well,” officials said.
