Porch pirate steals package from Marion County home after possibly following FedEx driver, deputies say Crime happened in 600 block of Silver Pass in Ocala

OCALA, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a porch pirate.
A video posted on the sheriff’s office’s Facebook page shows the suspected thief taking off with the package from the home in the 600 block of Silver Pass on Aug. 7.
Deputies say the man was possibly following a FedEx driver when he jumped out of his vehicle and snatched the package, containing four brand-new cellphones, from the home’s doorstep.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP(7867).
