Ocala man struck, killed by pickup truck on SR-40

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A 73-year-old Ocala man was struck and killed by a pickup truck on State Road 40, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened Tuesday night around 11:45 p.m. near NW 41st Avenue.

According to a crash report, the man was walking in the eastbound lane of SR-40 when he was hit.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 42-year-old Ocala man, was uninjured.
