NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A 41-year-old man was arrested after a shooting “between rival motorcycle gangs” that injured two on Saturday, according to the New Smyrna Beach Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened at the RaceTrac gas station located at 3000 State Road 44 around 1 p.m., the New Smyrna Beach Police Department.
According to a news release, “a large group of motorcyclists engaged in a fight in the parking lot, which eventually escalated into gunfire.”
Police said the majority of the people involved in the incident left the scene before officers arrived.
A witness at the scene recorded video moments before the shots rang out. The video shows a large group get into a fight which at one point knocks over a motorcycle before what sounds like gunfire starts. After one shot, the witness runs inside of a RaceTrac gas station when several other shots can be heard.
“They is shooting. That is real,” the person recording the video can be heard saying.

Two victims sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital, according to police.
Police said 41-year-old Clinton Walker was arrested and faces charges of inciting a riot, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm in public.
“One individual has been arrested in connection with the incident, though the investigation remains ongoing. This is a complex case involving numerous individuals and groups, many of whom who are uncooperative with law enforcement,” the release said in part.
