CBP Martial Arts Academy Capoeira

CBP Martial Arts Academy is excited to announce that scholarships for its summer camp are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, the academy awarded over 50 full-time scholarships.

The first scholarship is specifically for Orange County residents in the zip codes 32839, 32810, 32811, 32818, and 32808, or for students attending schools in those areas. Additionally, an income-based scholarship is available for families who qualify. The summer camp caters to children ages 6 to 14 and runs for 10 weeks. Youth ages 15 to 17 can apply for a teen leadership program within the camp.

Parents interested in applying for these scholarships can find more information on the academy’s website: Capoeira Brazil Pelo.

Ocala Conservation Center Summer Camp

The Florida Airboat Association and the Kissimmee River Valley Sportsman Association are offering an exciting opportunity for Florida youth through their Summer Camp Scholarships. This initiative will provide 10 children with full scholarships to attend a week-long residential summer camp at one of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s premier outdoor youth camps.

Five children will have the chance to attend the Ocala Outdoor Adventure Camp in Ocala. Both camps emphasize outdoor skills, conservation education, and recreational activities such as fishing and wildlife viewing.

These scholarships are open to children ages 8 to 16, with recipients randomly chosen from submitted applications to ensure fairness. Selected participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a youth hunt with the Youth Hunting Program of Florida, further enriching their outdoor experience. Click here to learn more!

Camp Kiwanis

Camp Kiwanis, supported by the Kiwanis Club, offers 104 scholarships each year, which are distributed among elementary and middle schools in the district. School counselors play a crucial role in this process, as they nominate students based on their knowledge of the families’ needs.

Counselors have until May 2 to submit their nominations, after which the scholarship numbers will be confirmed. This collaborative approach ensures that the scholarships reach those who need them most. This process is handled within the Marion County Public School system.

Volusia County Summer Camps

Volusia County has opened applications for summer camp scholarships to assist families facing financial challenges. Last year, the county received over 1,000 applications and was able to provide scholarships to 725 children.

These scholarships are available for children ages 5 to 14 from income-eligible households residing in Volusia County. Children up to age 17 attending approved special needs camps may also qualify. Scholarships are awarded per child based on eligibility and funding availability, with amounts up to $80 per week or the full cost of attendance for camps with lower fees.

These scholarship opportunities for summer camps in Central Florida are invaluable resources for families seeking to provide their children with enriching experiences. Whether through martial arts, outdoor adventures, or community-based programs, these camps offer a chance for youth to learn, grow, and have fun during the summer months. Parents are encouraged to explore these options and apply early to secure a spot for their children.
