Man accused of throwing brass knuckles through Marion County school bus window; sister also faces charges

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested after causing around $400 in damage to a Marion County school bus to avenge his sister who had an encounter with the same bus driver on Monday, according to a news release.

According to the release, deputies responded to the 15900 block of SW 35th Court Road in reference to someone who threw the brass knuckles through the bus window.

Deputies said they spoke with the bus driver who said he noticed a Toyota Camry following him, which was being driven by 25-year-old Bryan Francois.

The driver said he tried to change his route to avoid the Camry, but Bryan Francois continued to follow the bus to its final stop.

According to the release, once all of the children exited the bus, Bryan Francois approached the bus and threw the brass knuckles through the window as the bus drove away.

Deputies said they discovered that earlier that day, the suspect’s sister – 33-year-old Natasha Francois – entered the same bus and started a verbal fight with the driver.

She was told to leave the school bus numerous times but refused and continued to cause a disturbance, deputies reported. Natasha Francois eventually exited the bus and left.

Deputies said that during an interview with Bryan Francois and Natasha Francois, the man admitted to following the bus because he was mad about the morning incident with his sister and the driver.

According to the release, he also admitted to throwing the brass knuckles through the window of the bus as it drove away.

The siblings were both arrested after the interview and taken to the Marion County jail, deputies said.
