DeLAND, Fla. – A $10,000 reward is being offered after a 16-year-old was grazed in the head by a stray bullet near DeLand while riding home from a graduation party with his family, Volusia sheriff’s officials said.
The shooting happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of North Woodland Boulevard.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office said the teen was a passenger in the back seat of a vehicle when a bullet shattered the glass and grazed his head.
The boy was taken to a hospital in stable condition, but sheriff’s officials said he was being evaluated for potential complications from his injury.

Preliminary information indicated that the shooting stemmed from two people who were in a nearby parking, according to officials.
Volusia Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the culprits.
