Man accused of attacking another with machete in Osceola County before driving him to hospital, deputies say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A man is accused of attacking another man with a machete in Osceola County before driving him to the hospital, according to sheriff’s officials.

Angel Ramos-Arce, 31, was arrested Monday.

According to a charging affidavit, an Osceola County deputy responded to a disturbance call near a Circle K convenience store at 4692 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.

The victim’s sister, who worked at the gas station, told the deputy that her brother was cut with a machete and was being taken to the hospital by the man who attacked him, the affidavit stated.

The incident occurred following an argument between Ramos-Arce and the man, deputies said.

The sheriff’s office said the woman identified the truck Ramos-Arce was driving, and the deputy alerted dispatch and followed it to AdventHealth Kissimmee, where Ramos-Arce was arrested.

The victim’s blood and the machete were found in the truck, deputies said.

The man was transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center for further care.

Ramos-Arce faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
