BUNNELL, Fla. – Firefighters in Palm Coast battled a salvage-yard fire on Tuesday afternoon that destroyed or damaged 16 vehicles, including EVs, according to a news release.
Officials said that a vehicle ignited while being moved and flames quickly spread at the salvage yard off County Road 207 in Bunnell.
The Palm Coast Fire Department said nine vehicle were destroyed and six others were damaged by the heat of the fire.
According to the release, the fire was contained within 10 minutes.
Multiple units responded to the fire, including a water tender brought in for additional support.
