EUSTIS, Fla. – A 14-year-old was shot Sunday night in a drive-by shooting in Eustis, police said.
The shooting happened around 9 p.m. in front of a home near Glover Street.
Eustis police said someone got out of a car, fired multiple rounds and left the area.
The teen, who was outside, was struck in the leg and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police said the shooting stemmed from a rivalry between two groups but did not elaborate further.
Police on Tuesday told News 6 community correspondent Emily McLeod that the vehicle involved in the shooting was located, although they did not provide the location.
No arrests have been made, but police said there’s no threat to the community at large.
The department said it will put more resources behind solving the shooting because they have not received much cooperation.
No other details have been released.
