Crews said that most of the damage affected the rear of the home and after they searched the duplex, they discovered a man and dog inside one of the units.
According to the release, the man and dog were startled but unharmed in the incident. The other unit was unoccupied at the time.
“The massive, uprooted tree, along with another tree trunk that collapsed when the first tree fell, was resting on the carport, trapping a vehicle underneath and damaging the rear of both units, including the bedrooms, living room, and laundry areas,” the release said in part.
No injuries were reported.
