RIVERVIEW, Fla. – A deputy with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office was held at gunpoint by two teens during an undercover narcotics operation in Riverview, a news release stated.
Officials said that deputies with the Special Investigations Division Gang Unit were solicited on July 18 through social media for the purchase of THC vape pens, marijuana, and Oxycodone. Deputies said a transaction was arranged to meet up with Christopher Samuels, 18, and a 17-year-old at the Reflections Apartment Complex.
The transaction “quickly escalated into an armed robbery,” the release said, when the teens both allegedly pointed their guns at the deputy, threatened them, and demanded cash.

After the alleged robbery, the teens allegedly tried to steal a vehicle but were unsuccessful and fled on foot before being picked up by 18-year-old Ce’Dreon Davis, according to the release.
The 17-year-old was later arrested in Tampa at his sister’s home, officials said, and Samuels was arrested in Auburndale.
According to the release the two teens are each facing charges of armed carjacking, robbery with a firearm, armed burglary of a conveyance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The 17-year-old is also facing a charge of being a minor in possession of a firearm, the release stated.
Davis, the alleged getaway driver, was arrested, accused as an accessory of armed carjacking, robbery with a firearm and armed burglary of a conveyance, deputies said.
News 6 is not naming the 17-year-old due to their age.
