GREENVILLE, NC – The Lake Mary Little League All-Stars stayed alive in the 2025 Little League Softball World Series, defeating the Washington team 5-3 in seven innings.

Washington answered back in the bottom of the fifth and tied it up 1-1 with a line-drive RBI ripped to left.

Tied after five, the teams headed to extras.

In the top of the seventh, a tough ground ball to second allowed Lester to score Lake Mary’s go-ahead run. Then, Luu poured it on with a bases-clearing three-run triple. The team allowed two runs in the bottom of the seventh but eventually capped off the rollercoaster win 5-3.

Lake Mary gets the day off tomorrow and then takes the field 4 p.m. Friday in another elimination game. They will face either Tulsa, Oklahoma or Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
