SANFORD, Fla. – A driver was shot and killed Thursday afternoon in a Sanford road rage shooting, police said.
The fatal shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. at Vue on Lake Monroe apartments.
Sanford police said Jaden Alexander Harris was arrested on a charge of second-degree homicide with a firearm in connection to the shooting.

According to police, Harris and the other driver, identified as 43-year-old Joseph Morris Hall, got into an altercation while driving in the area of State Road 46 and Mangoustine Avenue.
The altercation ended at Vue on Lake Monroe, where Harris shot the victim, police said.
Officers were called to the scene, and fire officials took the shooting victim to a hospital, where the driver died a short time later, according to police.
Harris remained at the scene after the shooting, according to police.
“Harris had several opportunities to drive away from the incident as he followed Joseph, who was attempting to drive away. Yet, Harris continued to follow Joseph unnecessarily, which ultimately led to Harris killing Joseph. A simple choice to drive away by Harris could have prevented this tragedy and made all the difference for everyone that Joseph left behind. No one should lose their life over a minor traffic infraction,” Chief Cecil Smith said in a part in a statement.
Investigators said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident between Harris and the other driver.
Harris was booked at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
