OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Two car burglary suspects were arrested during a vehicle takedown after they targeted victims at water parks, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.
In July 2025, the sheriff’s office received multiple reports of vehicle burglaries targeting visitors at the H2O Water Park in Kissimmee. Victims, both locals and tourists, discovered their cars had been broken into after spending the day at the park, a news release states. Detectives identified suspects and began surveillance.

On Wednesday, officers observed a man and woman enter a 2025 grey Hyundai at a residence before driving to the water park. The male passenger was seen trying to open several parked vehicles, successfully entering one unlocked car, while the female driver stayed inside the Hyundai acting as a lookout, deputies said.
Law enforcement located the victim of the burglary, who wished to press charges. The suspects then drove to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, where they fled upon noticing police.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit captured aerial footage tracking a Hyundai, leading up to a tactical vehicle takedown by ground teams.
The driver, Jamika Spencer, 29, and passenger, Nicholas Rivera, 33, were arrested without incident and taken to the Osceola County Jail. During the arrest, detectives found a 2-year-old boy safely secured in a car seat in the back of the vehicle. The child was unharmed and released to a family member.
Spencer and Rivera face charges of burglary of a conveyance and child neglect. An investigation is pending into connecting them to previous burglaries in the area.
“It’s a crime of opportunity. If the door is locked, he moves on to the next vehicle,” said Capt. Kim Montes, a sheriff’s office spokesperson.
Detectives said they were able to identify Spencer as a suspect after she allegedly used stolen bank cards linked to the break-ins.
“To me, it’s just horrible as a mother,” Montes said. “I could never even think about taking a child to commit a crime.”
