However, everyone who lost services will now be under a boil water notice for now.

The city says the break affected properties west of U.S. Highway 27 between North Main Avenue and just south of Silverton Street.

The city says contractors installing fiber optic infrastructure for GigaPower caused the break, damaging the water system and leading to a loss of water pressure.

No one in that area had water for hours while crews worked to fix the water line in a hard-to-reach area.

All businesses and residents in the area will have to boil water until further notice.

Water should be brought to a vigorous boil for at least two minutes before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth or washing dishes.

The city of Minneola will provide updates when the boil water notice is lifted. Check with News 6 or watch the city’s Facebook page.
