ORLANDO, Fla. – Just before Netflix releases the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” later this year, you can get your own fix of 1980s Hawkins right here in Central Florida.

“Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical” takes you back to 1983 where you follow Mike, Eleven, Lucas, Dustin and the rest of the crew for a night of adventure.

You can expect a trip into the Upside Down, dancing interdimensional creatures, thrills and even justice for everyone’s favorite missing character, Barb.

Nick Bublitz is the director behind the show. He said they first started rehearsal at the beginning of August. They’re wrapping up blocking, tightening music and working on choreography all before the late September debut.

“There is a lot happening in this show! It is a layered parody musical that not only parodies ‘Stranger Things’ but ’80s culture and Broadway musicals. Our team is working overtime to hit every mark and squeeze out every laugh there is,” Bublitz said.

“With the series taking its final bow in November, it’s literally the perfect time to celebrate what this phenomenon has meant to all of us. Bring your mixtape, your biggest laughs and someone you would ride into the woods with,” he said.
