MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A woman last seen in August near Ocala has been reported missing and is considered endangered, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Maria Haydee Gonzalez was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 15 in front of her residence in the 4700 block of NW Gainesville Road, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

Gonzalez is 4 feet, 11 inches tall and 140 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair, the sheriff’s office said. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, a blue skirt, and slippers, the statement reads.

Gonzalez does not drive, the sheriff’s office said, adding it’s unknown whether she left on foot or got a ride from someone. She is diagnosed with cancer and mental health conditions and left home without her medication, according to the statement.

The concern for Gonzalez’s safety further stems from how her phone is disconnected and how her bank account has shown no activity, the statement reads.

Anyone who sees Gonzalez or knows of her whereabouts is urged to call 911.
