LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A pair of Lake County deputies worked together early this month to take down and tie up an alligator that was hanging out a bit too close to a woman’s home.
Body-worn camera video and drone footage dated Sept. 4 and shared over the weekend shows the deputies’ attempts to apparently lasso the gator, causing it to move away from the home’s front door and into the backyard.
The gator rolled around some after finally being put on a rope and soon found itself being sat on by one deputy as the other used tape to trap its jaw, the video shows.
The gator was to be safely relocated, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said on social media. Toward the end of the footage, the deputies can be seen loading the reptile into a cruiser.
“Not our first call like this… but it’s always a Florida classic!" the post states.
