Holly Hill police investigate carjacking; no injuries reported

Incident reported in 600 block of Center Avenue

HOLLY HILL, Fla. – No injuries were reported after three people were carjacked in Holly Hill on Monday evening, according to police.

Police said they responded to reports of the carjacking around 8:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Center Avenue.

According to a news release, the three victims reported being approached by three armed suspects during a planned meetup arranged on social media.

Holly Hill police said the suspects robbed the three at gunpoint taking cash, cell phones and a vehicle before fleeing.

The stolen vehicle was later recovered abandoned in Daytona Beach, the release states.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
