New Osceola County fire station to serve Four Corners, Celebration

Fire Station 75 will bring additional personnel, equipment to area near West US-192

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Osceola County Fire Rescue & EMS on Wednesday will officially open its newest fire station, Fire Station 75, on Funie Steed Road in Kissimmee.

“What I like to say is the plan that we put together puts the best people in the right place at the right time to make a difference,” Fire Chief Larry Collier said.

Fire Station 75 will bring additional personnel and equipment to the area near West U.S. Highway 192. Its first-due service area includes parts of the Four Corners, Celebration, and Reunion/ChampionsGate communities, which are also served by Stations 71, 72 and 73.

“It’s a lot of tourists, but a lot of residential, and there’s a lot of density within that area, which makes it very difficult to get around. So having more stations there makes it easier for us to respond to emergencies because of all of that,” Collier said.

“Station 75 is right in between the fire station that’s at celebration and the fire station that’s out in Lindfields. So basically, we split the difference. But since we identified that location for that fire station to be placed at an entry point, we were able to move the fire station that was at Lindfields over off to West Side, making better coverage and improving our response time in two areas at the same time.”

This new station is the fifth Osceola County Fire Rescue construction project completed since 2020 and the third new station placed into service during that time.

“So, this will be the third brand new fire station in the last five years. It’ll be the sixth station that we’ve opened in the last five years,” Collier said. “Three of them were replacements, with two more fire stations opening up soon.”

The opening ceremony for the station will begin at 9 a.m.
