According to an arrest affidavit, there were six photos, including one that showed a small child who is 9-12 months old holding suspected marijuana.

Other photos of a girl, 1-2 years old, showed a beer bottle propped up next to her and a handgun propped up on her, deputies said.

The Department of Children and Families also joined the investigation.

When deputies and DCF investigators arrived to Knoop’s home, they noticed the children’s rooms appeared to be under renovation and the walls were just plywood, the affidavit reads. The department determined the living conditions were not suitable for children.

Deputies asked Knoop about the photos, and he said he was aware they were taken and that they were from one to three years prior, depending on the photo. Knoop also told deputies the marijuana pictured in one photo had belonged to someone else, the affidavit reads.

Knoop was arrested and faces charges of child neglect.
