WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. – A man was arrested Tuesday in a Winter Springs stalking case after he admitted to harassing a woman he liked and used AirPods to track her vehicle, according to police.
Luis Eduardo Rendon Rendon, 28, faces charges of aggravated stalking with credible threat to person and invading privacy by installing/using a tracking device without consent, records show.
The woman told police she was in fear for her life due to Rendon’s behavior, describing him as her friend’s brother and stating he’s been harassing her for some time, according to an arrest report.

After telling Rendon via text message to stop contacting her, the woman said he continued to do so until she blocked his number, with an officer reporting she provided “a list of 88 missed calls from ‘private’ or out-of-state numbers, which were received consecutively and within minutes of each other,” before further confirming Rendon then started sending messages to her through Zelle payment requests.
Rendon — who the woman said got a job at her place of employment to be around her and whom she accused of pulling the fire alarm at her apartment building to get her outside — would also allegedly send the woman messages from unknown numbers “claiming to know her whereabouts at all times and who she was with,” the report states.
On Monday, the woman took her vehicle to a friend who inspected it and discovered an Apple AirPods case in a plastic bag, tucked and hidden in the undercarriage, police said.

Officers made contact with Rendon later that day, who — after denying all allegations, claiming he and the woman had tried to date in the past, and saying the reason he was contacting her “was to drop off candy for one of her daughters” — admitted to stalking the woman in the ways she described and to hiding the AirPods in her vehicle because he wanted to know where she was going, the report states.
Rendon was arrested and booked on a $7,500 bond for the stalking and tracking charges. His booking records also show an immigration hold.
