MARION COUNTY, Fla. – UPDATE: Ronald Sharp was found safe in South Carolina, according to deputies.
PREVIOUS: A Silver Alert was issued on Friday night for a missing 80-year-old man out of Marion County, according to the sheriff’s office.

In a release, deputies said that the man — identified as Ronald Sharp — was last seen on Thursday at his home in Ocala, located at 10169 SW 63rd Ave.
At the time, he left home driving his “dark-in-color” 2025 Jeep Wrangler, which has a Florida license plate reading “HBR.”
However, contact was last made with Sharp at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, which is when he advised he was around Route 21 North in South Carolina, deputies noted.
“Ronald has several medical issues that have caused his caretaker and law enforcement concern for his well-being,” the release reads.
