PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Three bars in Port Orange were busted last week after investigators found illegal gambling machines inside, according to the Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC).
In a release, FGCC officials said that the operators from each of these businesses were issued a notice to appear for keeping of a gambling house and possession of slot machines.

The FGCC identified the businesses as follows:
- Mulligans Grill — 3830 S. Nova Road
- Agents seized eight illegal slot machines and one coin pusher machine, as well as $3,500 in cash.
- Port Hole — 932 Herbert Street
- Agents seized six illegal slot machines and over $15,500 in cash.
- The Dog House — 3400 S. Nova Road
- Agents seized eight illegal slot machines and one coin pusher machine, as well as $6,000 in cash.
According to the FGCC, gambling is strictly regulated in Florida, with slot machines only being allowed in select facilities across Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and seven Seminole Tribe of Florida establishments.
“If businesses are unclear on the legality of their machines, they can contact the FGCC anytime for direction and clarification,” FGCC Executive Director Alana Zimmer said. “This information can also protect their other state-issued licenses, which are often in use at the same establishment.”
