NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A new park featuring a combined pickleball facility and off-leash dog run is set to open next month in New Smyrna Beach.

The city aims to open Phil Hall Park, located on Paige Avenue off South Glencoe Road, by mid-January.

It will feature six pickleball courts, LED lighting for nighttime play, restrooms, covered rest areas and more.

The park is named after the late NSB Pickleball Club President Phil Hall, who helped lead efforts to donate $15,000 toward the construction of the park, according to New Smyrna Beach city officials.

When it opens, the park will be the fifth outdoor public pickleball location in New Smyrna Beach. The other parks are located at:

  • Detwiler Park
  • Pettis Park
  • Rocco Park
  • Live Oak Cultural Center
