OCALA, Fla. – An Ocala man is suing Outback Steakhouse after a trip to a restaurant’s bathroom took an unfortunate turn, according to court documents obtained by News 6.
The lawsuit says that the man — identified as Michael Green — visited one of the chain’s restaurants along Southwest College Road in Ocala back on March 26.

At the time, Green went to go use the restroom, but while he was seated on the toilet in the handicap stall, the toilet “suddenly shattered and collapsed” beneath him, court records show.
As a result, the lawsuit argues, Green suffered “severe bodily injury.”
Now, Green is accusing the restaurant of negligence and failing to maintain the toilet properly. The lawsuit seeks over $50,000 in damages.
