Man sought after attempted kidnapping in Eustis, police say

Police release photo of suspected vehicle

EUSTIS, Fla. – Eustis police are asking for the public’s help after an attempted kidnapping.

Around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, police said a white Nissan SUV approached a victim walking in the area of East Pinehurst Boulevard and South Grove Street.

The driver spoke with the victim, asking about good places to get drinks nearby. The driver then offered the victim $300 to get into the vehicle and go somewhere with him, a news release states.

When the victim declined, police said the driver became angry, causing the victim to flee on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, possibly between 50 and 60 years old, with short white hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and glasses at the time of the incident. Police also released photos of the suspected vehicle.
