CLERMONT, Fla. – A man was taken into custody on Tuesday after an apparent shooting in Clermont, according to the police department.
In a release, police said they responded to the area of East Minneola Avenue and Disston Street around 11:20 a.m. after they received a report about someone shooting at the caller’s friend.
“While en route to the location, another 911 call was received about shots being fired,” the release reads. “Officers arrived on scene and found that the suspect, Justin Akeem Fedrick, had fled the scene prior to their arrival.”

No was was shot or injured during the incident, police added. However, a warrant was obtained for Fedrick’s arrest.
Shortly after 4 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that Fedrick was riding in, investigators noted.
He fled on foot, though officers were ultimately able to catch and arrest Fedrick, the release continues.
Now, Fedrick faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm in public, and resisting arrest.
