MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An Ocala man was arrested late last week as part of a human trafficking investigation, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
In an arrest affidavit, deputies said they responded to 3424 NE 55th Ave. on Friday to arrest the suspect, identified 37-year-old Christopher Mchellon.

Investigators explained they’d received word back in October about Mchellon sending explicit photos of his genitals to a 15-year-old boy.
“Mchellon would provide the juvenile victim with money, drugs, or alcohol in exchange for participation in sexual activities,” a release from the MCSO reads. “During a forensic search of the victim’s electronics, detectives located the sexually graphic photos Mchellon sent to the minor.”
But when deputies tried to handcuff Mchellon at his home, he began fighting back, the release states. One deputy deployed a Taser, but it reportedly had no effect.
During the scuffle, Mchellon grabbed a shotgun, though a deputy was ultimately able to remove the shotgun from his grasp before successfully detaining him, the sheriff’s office announced.
“Following his arrest, Mchellon repeatedly stated that he wished he had been able to shoot the deputies and his wish for their children to be killed,” the release continues.
According to detectives, there may be additional victims. As such, anyone who has been victimized by Mchellon is urged to call the sheriff’s office at (352) 732-9111.
In the meantime, Mchellon faces charges of aggravated assault on a first responder, resisting arrest, human trafficking, using a two-way device to facilitate a felony, using a computer to solicit a child, and harmful explicit communication to a minor. He is held without bond.
