Florida man gets 4 years after trying to rob Taco Bell with a rock

Kewarren Anderson sentenced in July ‘25 incident

OCALA, Fla. – A man who was found guilty of trying to rob an Ocala Taco Bell with a rock last year has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Kewarren Anderson, 40, was sentenced Thursday to 4 years in state prison with credit for 6 months, 19 days time served, records show.

Anderson’s arrest back in July 2025 was captured on body-worn camera video shared by Ocala police to social media.

The footage shows an Ocala K9 track Anderson’s path from the Taco Bell on 2380 SW College Road to the back of a nearby trash bin, where the dog then bites Anderson.

According to Anderson’s arrest affidavit, he told police that he was homeless and needed money. Anderson went on to say he had entered the Taco Bell through a drive-thru window with a rock in his hand, telling employees to give him money, the report states.
