Family displaced after Marion County mobile home; no injuries reported

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A midday fire damaged a double‑wide mobile home in northeast Ocala on Monday, displacing a family of four but causing no injuries, according to Marion County Fire Rescue.

Fire officials said they responded to the 6600 block of NE 2nd Place around 12:27 p.m. after a 911 caller reported flames coming from the front of the home.

According to a release, crews immediately shifted into rescue mode to help remove family members and several animals from the residence.

Firefighters said they brought the blaze under control at 12:45 p.m. No civilians or firefighters were hurt.

Officials said that two adults and two children were displaced, and the American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance.

In addition, six dogs escaped the fire and were reported to be doing well.
