KISSIMMEE, Fla. – An Osceola County school is trying to reassure the community after someone posted a picture of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler on the school’s morning TV announcements.
A News 6 viewer alerted us about this story, and Osceola High School in Kissimmee released a statement Friday afternoon confirming the incident.

“This morning, an inappropriate image of Adolf Hitler was included in our morning announcements. The moment this was brought to our attention, the image was immediately removed,” the statement by school principal Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy read.
Morning announcements at high schools normally provide students and staff with information on things happening at school, from the school lunch menu to after-school clubs and sports games, to reminders about school policy.
The image that was shown, according to the News 6 viewer who sent us a screenshot, was a fullscreen black-and-white picture of Hitler saluting. Yellow text over the picture reads “Good Morning Kowboys! Today is Friday, January 30,” most likely a title page.
In her statement, Kennedy said the school identified who was responsible and they are taking appropriate actions to address this “egregious error,” according to school and district policies.
“We understand the concern and hurt this may have caused, and we remain committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students and staff,” Kennedy’s statement read.
