Suspect arrested after shooting at Ocala bar leaves 1 injured, police say

OCALA, Fla. – A 34‑year‑old man was arrested early Friday after a shooting outside an Ocala bar left another man injured, according to the Ocala Police Department.

Officers responded around 1:15 a.m. to the 100 Proof Saloon located at 735 N. Pine Ave., where they found a man suffering from non‑life‑threatening gunshot wounds to his wrist and thigh. The victim was taken to HCA Ocala for treatment.

Police said the suspect, Curtis Oneal Goodman Jr., was detained at the scene. Evidence and witness statements linked him to the shooting, investigators said.

Goodman Jr. was taken to the Marion County jail where he faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
