OCALA, Fla – OCALA, Fla. — An adult woman was found dead Friday evening in Marion County, and sheriff’s officials are investigating the case as a suspicious death.
Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded at about 7 p.m. to the 500 block of Silver Road for a report of a possible overdose.

Upon arrival, deputies and Marion County Fire Rescue found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
MCSO said her death appeared to be suspicious but offered no other details.
Major Crimes detectives are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the unidentified woman’s death.
Detectives are asking anyone who saw something in the area between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday to call the Marion County Sheriff’s Office nonemergency line at 352-732-9111.
