MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An Ocala man was arrested after he was caught sexually propositioning an underage boy in a gas station bathroom, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
In an arrest affidavit, deputies said they responded to a Circle K gas station along SW Highway 200 back on Feb. 21.
At the time, they learned that a 14-year-old boy had noticed a silver minivan seemingly follow him to the gas station, which foreshadowed the unwanted encounter.

“The victim advised he entered the store, purchased a drink and sat down in a booth inside the store,” the affidavit reads. “The victim advised he observed the unknown White male enter the store and walk to the counter. The victim advised he got up from the booth and entered the restroom.”
But while in one of the bathroom stalls, the teen heard a strange sound coming from the other side of the stall, deputies stated.
Per the affidavit, the boy claimed that he turned around and saw the man — later identified as 69-year-old Kevin Daniels — looking at him through a slot in the stall door, asking, “Can I suck your thing?”
The boy told investigators that he tried to leave the bathroom, but Daniels allegedly grabbed his arm and said, “I’m just an old man who likes sucking (expletive).”
Afterward, the boy pushed Daniels’ hand off of him and contacted an employee, while Daniels left and went back to his minivan, the affidavit shows.

Eventually, deputies said they were able to pin Daniels as the suspect involved, though Daniels denied the allegations in a later interview.
Instead, Daniels claimed he had made a comment about urine on the floor while in the bathroom and that he was unaware the boy was even in there until he came out of the stall.
“(Daniels) also confirmed he is gay and has been married to (another man) for several years,” the affidavit continues. “(Daniels) was confronted with the fact that it was not a coincidence that the victim was able to describe his vehicle type, and alleged being sexually propositioned by (Daniels), who he would not have otherwise known was gay.”
