FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A former Flagler County paramedic already headed to prison for sexually battering an unconscious patient appeared in court Tuesday to face a separate set of felony charges.
James Melady was sentenced to 10 years in prison last month after a jury found him guilty of sexual battery on a patient in the back of an ambulance. On Tuesday, he entered a no-contest plea in a second case.
Investigators say Melady broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home in 2023 and installed cameras in her bedroom and bathroom. Those actions led to the felony charges he faced in court on Tuesday.
Melady entered a no-contest plea. Sentencing in that case is tentatively set for June 23.
