Crews respond to fire at pawnshop

Fire crews are responding to a commercial structure fire at a local pawnshop in Kissimmee Friday morning.

At approximately 6 a.m., the City of Kissimmee received a call reporting a fire at Simple Pawn on W. Vine Street. Crews from the Kissimmee Fire Department arrived on scene and are actively working to contain the blaze.

Officials said the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.

Eastbound Vine Street is currently closed from N. Hoagland Boulevard to Armstrong Boulevard as crews continue their response. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes while emergency personnel work at the scene.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
