Sketch released in attempted rape at apartments near UCF

Incident reported at Polo East Apartments

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County deputies on Friday released a composite sketch of a man they say is wanted for questioning in an attempted sexual battery near the University of Central Florida.

The incident was reported Wednesday at the Polo East Apartments, at the intersection of Colonial Drive and Woodbury Road.

“It makes you feel pretty uncomfortable,” said Kailyn Nuff, who lives in the apartment complex. “Yeah, (it) makes me feel like I can't go anywhere by myself. I have to have someone with me.”

Details of the attempted rape were not available.

Kimberly Chung said she doesn't recognize the man in the composite sketch, but she saw deputies in front of her building Wednesday night.

"I didn't know what was going on,” Chung said. “I didn't know it was that serious. There was just one cop there, and another cop blocking off down there.”

Some neighbors News 6 spoke with had no idea the attack on the woman even happened.

“I’m going to tell my neighbors about it, because maybe they don't know nothing about it,” Nancy Robles said. “And then we're going to have to go to the office to see what they're going to do about it.”

Deputies said they don't believe Wednesday's incident is related to the attempted sexual battery incident near the Marquee Apartments on Monday.
