Man with taped fingers robs Wendy's in Port Orange

Police search for assailant, gray car

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – A man with black tape on his finger joints robbed a fast food restaurant early Friday in Port Orange, police said.

No one was injured in the robbery, which was reported at 1:32 a.m. at the Wendy's at 900 Dunlawton Ave.

Details about the robbery have not been released, but police said a cash register was handed to the man.

Port Orange police said the culprit was described as an older white man with short hair and stubble facial hair. Police said both of the man's ears are pierced, and he was wearing a gray sweatshirt. He also had what appeared to black tape wrapped on the joints of his fingers, police said.  

The man drove off in a dark-colored car.
