The latest Powerball jackpot has been raised to $1.8 billion ahead of the next drawing Saturday night.
Game leaders increased the jackpot estimate Friday morning, according to a Powerball news release. The staggering $1.8 billion figure marks the second-largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history, representing an estimated cash value of $826.4 million.

Your odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9, with the jackpot 1 in 292.2 million, according to the release.

The next Powerball drawing is set for 11 p.m. ET Saturday, Sept. 6, and you can watch it live on News 6.
Powerball® tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Since its first drawing in 1992, the Powerball game has helped generate more than $36 billion for good causes supported by U.S. lotteries.
