DeLAND, Fla. - A skydiver was injured Wednesday morning in DeLand when he landed in a tree and got tangled then dropped to the ground, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said the incident was reported before 10 a.m. near 10th Avenue and Gardenia Road after a plane took off from Skydive DeLand.

The man's injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The Volusia County Sheriff's Office said the man was conscious and alert when he was taken to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach.

No other details have been released.
