Falcon 9 rocket launches geostationary communications satellite for Israel

CAPE CANAVERAL SPACE FORCE STATION, Fla. – SpaceX launched its Commercial GTO-1 mission early Sunday from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket launched at 1:04 a.m. with a satellite known as Dror-1, a geostationary communications satellite for Israel, according to Florida Today.

This was the 13th flight for the Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-8, Polaris Dawn, CRS-31, Astranis: From One to Many, IM-2, and seven Starlink missions.
